My Heroes... Jim Caviezel

This is a short video, part of another program. Jim Caviezel is the actor who played Jesus in "The Passion of the Christ." I've seen some interviews and read a bit about him, enough to touch my heart. He was one of my first heroes pinned to my Hero Board on Pinterest.

Not really a diet...

Friday, rice crispies for breakfast are a fun way to start the day. Interestingly enough, using whole milk and coconut milk I don't use any additional sugar. Cheeseburger, chocolate cake and raspberries, toast and blackberry jam and Chocolate Carnation Instant Breakfast.

Saturday, yummy croissant and hot chocolate with my sister at P.Croissant. My favorite eatery. Albertson's creates a stuffed chicken that's easy to cook. I tested the feta and spinach, and it was yummy. Beef sandwich for dinner.

Sunday, oh dear. We're going to pretend it didn't happen... okay, I'll give you a hint: It involves Cheez-Its and Oreos. 'Nough said.

Monday and Tuesday, amazing the power of a little cookie/s and a tiny cracker/s.

Wednesday and Thursday, I give up. I'm stress eating. I'm giving myself the rest of the week off and starting over on Monday.

Week 153 of REAL...

REAL - Reduce stress Exercise Adequate sleep Lower caloric intake

What Navy SEALs are required to do to make it into BUD/S:
RIght up front: Never in a million years could I do what is required. However, I needed to start somewhere. Considering how fit the SEALs are, I figured it was a good place to start. So my SEAL puppy reps (SEALp) consist of girls' pushups, crunches, and flutter kicks, a SEAL training basic. I started with doing one of each.

PT ~ Physical therapy using 2-lb and 1-lb weights, alternating days.
UB ~ Upper body exercises
I'm starting low, at 10, to restart my workouts, with no weights yet.

23: 1-mile walk. PT. UB.

24: 1-mile walk at the park, which means there are some hills. I did fine. PT.

25: Rest.

26: 1-1/2-mile walk. PT. UB.

27: 1-mile walk. PT.

28: 1-mile walk. PT. UB.

29: 1-mile walk. PT.

Life Happens...

...and it's been happening a lot lately.

Tough Luck is coming along, slowly. This is not a bad thing. I'm much happier with it, now. Looks like it won't see publishing until next week. Definitely next week. I have a novel to write next.

The arm has improved movement and strength, but it still doesn't straighten fully. I'm guessing I tore ligaments or tendons. Either way, there's nothing a doctor could do. It will take time and patience. I have upped the weight I carry when I go for walks from 1 lb to 2 lb. Oh, and I walk a little faster, not much but a little better is good.

More pretty pictures from the desert botanical garden:

Brain Dump

Rule #1: Stop lying, especially to yourself. Before baby became a word, the term was fetus, in Latin. Fetus = Baby It's a baby.
