Writing...

It's almost done! Writing the final conflict! Stuttering. Working on it. Today's focus is Christmas Lost, after I make pancakes for breakfast because I'm trying a new recipe and do laundry. Priorities! Oops. I have to eat. I love pancakes. I have a mix, but I want to try the recipe. It looks easy. We'll see. Maybe I'll take a picture... probably not. Laundry simply has to be done.

REAL Week 418

REAL - Reduce stress Exercise Adequate sleep Lower caloric intake

What Navy SEALs are required to do to make it into BUD/S:
Right up front: Never in a million years could I do what is required. However, I needed to start somewhere. Considering how fit the SEALs are, I figured it was a good place to start. So my SEAL puppy reps (SEALp) consist of girls' pushups, crunches, and flutter kicks, a SEAL training basic. I started with doing one of each.  Since my accident I haven't done these, but I'm working to add them back into my routine.

PT ~ Physical therapy
UB ~ Upper body exercises

SEALFit shared some good hints I want to learn and remember:

21: 1-mile walk. PT. UB. Used 1-lb weights x2. Stretch.

22: 1-1/2 mile walk. PT. UB. Used 1-lb weights x3. Stretch.

23: Rest.

24: 1-1/2 mile walk. PT. UB. Used 1-lb weights x3. Stretch.

25: 1/2-mile walk. PT. UB.
Used 1-lb weights x1. Stretch.

26: 1-1/mile walk. PT. UB. Used 1-lb weights x3. Stretch.

27: 1/2-mile walk. PT. UB.
Used 1-lb weights x1. Stretch.

So close...

Ran errands, yesterday. Managed to add a few hundred words to "Christmas Lost."

I want to finish "Christmas Lost." It's the last chapter. Of course, Alex threw me a curve. Why do characters do that? Grateful for the gift God's given me.

Follow Up 25 July

How'd I do?

Exercise: It was raining, but I went for a walk anyway. Rain took a short break once for most of it.

Eat healthy: Not too bad. Could have done better. Practice.

Christmas Lost: Added several hundred words. Total of over 20,000 words and headed toward the finish.

Read: Yes

So much to do, today.

Carpe Diem... Indianapolis

Storm moved in before the race ended. Turned off the computer. Rained on and off, mostly on, for about fourteen hours. Wow. Much needed. Thanks God.

NASCAR ~ Michael McDowell came in 18th. A. Dillon was in an accident and came in 21st. Truex came in 33rd; he was taken out by an accident. Car is a complete loss, flames under the hood, but Truex is fine. Go Michael McDowell!

Writing Day

Life happened, yesterday. Not much writing was done. Storm moved in, and the computer was turned off in the evening. Today, I'm going to see if I can finish Christmas Lost. Yes, it's that close.

Brain Dump

Dear Electric Company,

The June bill arrived. It shows our June 2017 usage was higher than 2016 and 2015. I'm baffled. Please explain how this works.

June 2015 and 2016 ~ The oven was used 8-12 hours (overnight) approximately twice a week, sometimes only once but sometimes three times, and the stove top was used daily. The A/C was kept at 74 degrees.

June 2017 ~ The oven was used once, for an hour, and the stove top was used once or twice a week. The A/C was kept at 75 degrees.

Just curious.

Brain Dump

Rule #1: Stop lying, especially to yourself. Before baby became a word, the term was fetus, in Latin. Fetus = Baby It's a baby.
