Medicare for all is the new rallying cry.
The government will pay for everyone's healthcare!
Truth:
The government doesn't pay for anything.
The government doesn't make anything.
The Taxpayer will pay for everything.
The government will increase taxes.
The government will create new departments, with new employees, to accomplish the aim.
The Taxpayer will pay for the new departments and the new employees.
All the money paying for the new departments and the new employees will not go to healthcare.
Medicare for all is a fantasy.
Many people will point to England. Are they aware that England has cancelled thousands of medical procedures because no money exists to pay for them? Are they aware that people are being allowed to die without basic care, food and water, in hospitals, because there's no money to pay for them and they're old and considered expendable? Are they aware that places like Sweden are turning away from socialist programs and toward the free market?
Is America incapable of learning from the mistakes of other countries?

What Navy SEALs are required to do to make it into BUD/S:
Right up front: Never in a million years could I do what is required. However, I needed to start somewhere. Considering how fit the SEALs are, I figured it was a good place to start. My pushups are against the wall.
Using 1, 2, and/or 4-lb weights:

TBR
6. Colton's Secret Investigation (The Coltons of Roaring Springs) by Justine Davis contemporary suspense romance. This is a multi-author series. I did enjoy Justine's book as a stand alone. Her characters always capture my heart.
7. Under the Summer Mistletoe (Christmas Holiday Extravaganza series short story) by Stacey Weeks. Fun, short read. I'd like to try other books by Stacey Weeks.
8. Lockdown (Saint Squad series) by Traci Hunter Abramson Christian suspense romance. Once started, I wanted to keep reading all the way to the end.
9. Love at Sunset Lake (Abundance series) by Sally Bayless contemporary Christian romance. What a wild rollercoaster ride. I recognized bits of myself in her characters. I've made some of the same mistakes. The messes I landed myself in because I didn't bother to check in with God. A satisfying happy ending.
10. Rising Star (Costal Hearts series) by Janet W. Ferguson contemporary Christian romance. This book wasn't anywhere on my list until I read an short excerpt and saw a familiar song title, "Don't Go Drinking With Hobbits." I waited for the book to be released and bought it. I laughed and cried and loved the story. Star and Paul struggle like most Christians. Life isn't sweet or nice. They have tough lessons to learn. They each reminded me of myself and my own struggles. I loved the visit to Ireland and the peek into the missionary work in Africa. I'm looking forward to reading more books by Janet W. Ferguson.

Celebrate Chocolate Cake Day
Monday, 27 January, read a sweet novella.
Chocolate Cake for Two
The second novella in the Holiday, USA series.
Welcome back to Holiday, USA, small town America, where nothing happens, except holidays... and maybe a little romance, if the hero and heroine trust God.
Freed, after being wrongly imprisoned for a crime he didn't commit, Henry Weaver needs a fresh start. The "Help Wanted" sign in the cupcake shop window couldn't possibly be the answer to his prayer.
Holiday Sweets, a specialty cupcake shop, is Annie Sweet's heritage. Everything would be perfect if only she could find competent help. An ultimatum demands Annie make a painful decision.
Choosing God is rarely the easy way, and sometimes the way to Happily Ever After appears impossible...

Rule #1: Stop lying, especially to yourself. Before baby became a word, the term was fetus, in Latin. Fetus = Baby It's a baby.
