TBR

111. SEALed with a Kiss (series book 1) by Mary Margret Daughtridge contemporary romance. All the books have steamy scenes, which can be skipped and not lose the story. I'm re-reading, again, to determine if I want to keep the books. The stories spoke to me on things in my own life. I found the author's blog and followed. We communicated on her blog. The last I heard from her, she had just received a new pacemaker, in 2011, and I haven't seen anything from her since. I liked her on social media, and the last post was in 2012.

112. SEALed with a Promise (series book 2) by Mary Margret Daughtridge contemporary romance.

113. SEALed with a Ring (series book 3) by Mary Margret Daughtridge contemporary romance.

114. SEALed Forever (series book 4) by Mary Margret Daughtridge contemporary romance. I think I'll keep the books a little longer.

115. Faster Than Normal: Turbocharge Your Focus, Productivity, and Success with the Secrets of the ADHD Brain by Peter Shankman, who has ADHD. I found that many of his suggestions also helped with my CPTSD. Interesting read.

Brain Dump

The Rose Garden at the White House has been refreshed. After the reveal, a meme came out comparing the previous layout to the current one. What baffles me is all the criticism for how much more colorful the old layout was. Wait...what? The pictures compared were the ones from this past August, the new layout, and one from a previous April. We all know that spring flowers are more colorful than the height of summer flowers, right? You know, like the fact that tulips don't bloom in August, right?

REAL Week 582

REAL - Reduce stress Exercise Adequate sleep Lower caloric intake

What Navy SEALs are required to do to make it into BUD/S:
Right up front: Never in a million years could I do what is required. However, I needed to start somewhere. Considering how fit the SEALs are, I figured it was a good place to start. My pushups are against the wall.

Using 1, 2, and/or 4-lb weights:
PT ~ Physical therapy
UBP ~ Upper body exercises, pushups, and chair sits against the wall

SEALFit shared some good hints I want to learn and remember:

18: 1/2-mile walk PT UBP 0-lb x3 Stretch

19: 1-3/4-mile walk PT UBP 0-lb x3 1-lb x3 Stretch

20: Rest

21: 2-1/2 mile walk PT UBP 0-lb x3 1-lb x3 Stretch

22: 1-mile walk PT UBP 0-lb
x3 Stretch 1/2 hour yard work

23: 2-mile walk PT UBP 0-lb x3 1-lb x3 Stretch 1/2 hour yard work

24: 1/2-mile walk PT UBP 0-lb x3 Stretch

Brain Dump

Of all those who died with Covid, only 6% died from Covid, according to the CDC. The rest were people with 2 or more co-morbidities, illnesses that were life threatening like heart disease. The majority of those were people older than 78, the average life span.

The suicide rate has escalated. Domestic violence has escalated. Human trafficking, including child exploitation, has escalated. Divorce has increased from the average by 30%. Still born births have escalated.

Those who lost loved ones were required to mourn alone. Those who were sick suffered alone. People lost their livelihoods. People lost businesses in which they'd invested everything. People are losing their homes. Businesses have been burned to the ground without enough insurance to rebuild. People have been murdered at increasing rates.

A few experts decided it was better to let Grandma and Grandpa die alone than risking Covid. A few experts decided that higher suicide rates was better than risking Covid. A few experts decided that escalating human trafficking was better than risking Covid. A few experts decided that increased domestic violence was better than risking Covid. A few experts decided that higher divorce rates was better than risking Covid. A few experts decided that more still born babies was better than Covid. A few experts decided that people being isolated, regardless of their mental and emotional needs, was better than risking Covid. A few experts decided that crushing small business owners was better than risking Covid. A few experts decided that people losing their homes was better than risking Covid. A few experts decided that lives lost to other preventable causes was better than risking Covid.

Most horrific of all: The world agreed.

Rule #1: Stop lying, especially to yourself. Before baby became a word, the term was fetus, in Latin. Fetus = Baby It's a baby.
