Not a Leap Year

 Celebrate anyway, with a story...

Leap of Faith Day

The ninth novella in the series...

Welcome back to Holiday, USA, small town America, where nothing happens, except holidays... and a little romance, if the hero and heroine trust God.

Her life a mess, EMT Belle Carlisle wants a fresh start. She's lived in Holiday a few years and likes it well enough. She's happy, mostly. 'Be Bold' is her personal aphorism, but it was never intended to include asking a man on a date.

Born and raised in Holiday, Vince Timmons is certain the prettiest EMT on the planet could never be interested in a younger man. Besides, his life is a mess. Not to mention the woman he pursued for over a year humiliated him in public. The last thing he needs is to fall for another woman who doesn't want him.

Man looks on the outward appearance and judges accordingly. God looks on the heart...

REAL Week 604

REAL - Reduce stress Exercise Adequate sleep Lower caloric intake

What Navy SEALs are required to do to make it into BUD/S:
Right up front: Never in a million years could I do what is required. However, I needed to start somewhere. Considering how fit the SEALs are, I figured it was a good place to start. My pushups are against the wall.

Using 1, 2, and/or 4-lb weights:
PT ~ Physical therapy
UBP ~ Upper body exercises, pushups, and chair sits against the wall

SEALFit shared some good hints I want to learn and remember:

19: 1/2-mile walk PT UBP 0-lb x3 Stretch

20: 2-mile walk PT UBP 0-lb x3 1-lb x3 Stretch

21: Rest

22: 1-1/2 mile walk PT UBP 0-lb x3 1-lb x3 Stretch

23: 1/2 mile walk PT UBP 0-lb
x3 Stretch

24: 1-1/mile walk PT UBP 0-lb x3 1-lb x3 Stretch

25: 1/2-mile walk PT UBP 0-lb x3 Stretch

TBR

16. A Christmas to Remember a group of true Christmas stories by authors who write for Covenant Communications, Inc. I bought it because Traci Hunter Abramson contributed one of the stories. An easy read, though be sure to have tissues for tears, heartbreaking and heartwarming and inspiring.

17. The Playboy's Plain Jane by Cara Colter contemporary romance. I loved this one for the humor and the secret language of flowers. I think I'm ready to let it bless someone else.

18. Undercurrents (Book 1 in the trilogy) by Traci Hunter Abramson Christian suspense romance. Yes, I've read it before. I hunted down a used copy in paperback and read it again. A stay-up-late reading page-turner. A keeper.

19. Ripple Effect (Book 2 in the trilogy) by Traci Hunter Abramson Christian suspense romance. Still a page-turner. Diving into the third book.

20. The Deep End (Book 3 in the trilogy) by Traci Hunter Abramson Christian suspense romance. Breathtaking. Love the books.

Brain Dump

Oddball thought: The Lord has promised that the world will end in flames. Global warming is inevitable, and it's going to be really, really warm. I read somewhere, and learned by the experience of someone I know, if you turn on a microwave with nothing in it, the microwave will catch fire. What if...what if people who are empty is the reason the world burns? Only God can fill us; if we turn our back on God, then we are empty.
