Brain Dump
We dealt with heat advisories for a few weeks. I long ago learned to check up on heat exhaustion and heat stroke, what they are, how they happen, and what to do to treat them. Stay hydrated. Did you know that fans increase dehydration? Me neither. So do alcohol and caffeine. Stay indoors. Keep the thermostat no higher than 78. Then comes along the news stations advising that to lower your electric bill to turn the thermostat up to 80 or higher. And people wonder why so many of us disdain the news media. They practice no common sense, the only logical conclusion, unless they're really out to do harm.

All or Nothing Day
Celebrate with a story:
All or Nothing
The tenth novella in the series.
Welcome back to Holiday, USA, small town America, where nothing happens, except holidays... and a little romance, if the hero and heroine trust God.
Secrets? Angela Goodrich owns a few. Moving to Holiday is her dream come true. As Holiday Sweets' new manager, she wants a fresh start even as she wants to share the truth of who she is. Will she still be welcomed?
Anger issues? Caleb Bronson denies it despite the fact he'd like to throttle his EMT partner's new fiancé for wronging his sister. What does it matter if his anger is dominating his life and spills over on the attractive and newest resident of Holiday?
The truth will set you free, if you're willing to endure the discomfort of letting go of the lies. God knows the pain hidden in the soul anyway...

Brain Dump
A food charity commercial blamed the shortage of food on disease, climate, and catastrophes. I couldn't help but notice they failed to blame the real culprit: wicked men/women, who think they're smarter than God and entitled to decide who lives and who dies, who use governments around the world to exercise their unrighteous power over those they believe lower than them. Elites who think animals and the earth are worth more than people. Elites who think too many people inhabit this earth but are unwilling to take themselves out of the picture; no, they believe those less worthy should be eliminated. They're wrong. The good news? God created enough and to spare. However, we are given a choice: Do we follow flawed men? Or do we follow a perfect God? The choice is ours.

76. Chances Are (Book 1) by Traci Hunter Abramson romance.
77. Chance for Home (Book 2) by Traci Hunter Abramson romance.
78. A Change of Fortune by Traci Hunter Abramson romance. Stand Alone, the only book by Traci that truly is a stand alone. All the others have overlapping characters, even if only briefly. Some of us call those book Easter Eggs. This book changed my perspective on how I need to handle my money, little though it is. God blessed me with enough to meet my needs, and I need to use it wisely.
79. Dark Roads by Justine Davis fiction. A story of two brothers and their journey. Justine Davis writes character driven stories, and though she usually writes romance/suspense romance, this one is focused more on the relationship between the brothers and those related to them and associated with them. For those who don't like any profanity, this book is not for you; I'd rate it at a PG-13, not quite R, because of the language and themes, mostly implied. Justine Davis stories give me an opportunity for some introspection and thinking about how I want to be a better person, more like some of her characters. It was a satisfying read for me. I have several lines I starred; yes, I bought the book in paperback. Worth it to me.
80. Stacy's Horses (A Wild Oak Romance series Book 1) by Justine Davis romance. It was the tease at the end of Dark Roads. I couldn't resist reading it again. Still makes me laugh and cry. Still love it.

Brain Dump
I listened to an ad for a migraine medication and was gobsmacked when it bragged about how a 3-month study showed improvement in symptoms. THREE months? What happened to the one-year, 3-year, 5-year, 10-year studies? I can change a lot of things for three months and see an improvement. I've been on a number of medications that worked for several months and even a few years, but then stopped working. Of those medications, one of them left my teeth permanently yellow. Yeah, I don't remember being told about that possible side effect. If I could go back, I would never recommend that medication, which also built an intolerance to an entire family of antibiotics. Needless-to-say, I'm careful about what I take now, not to mention limited, and read the labels of possible side effects. It's vital to be one's own advocate.

Rule #1: Stop lying, especially to yourself. Before baby became a word, the term was fetus, in Latin. Fetus = Baby It's a baby.
