Heroes... Mary White

Mary became the wife of Robert Morris at age 20. Her husband was 15 years older. Joy of joy, her letters are available. What a delight to read her stories of what is happening to their children. She talks of what's needed for moving, again and again. As her husband stirred the pot, she was left to move home and children from one place to another seeking safety for herself and the children, all the while attempting to maintain a sense of home. She also speculated on the romances of the notable men and women of the day. Through it all, she was revered by the men of the day as a woman worthy of admiration. She survived her husband being jailed and his death a few years later. She was strong and gracious. A woman worth emulating.

It's here!

Leap of Faith Day is available!

The ninth novella in the series is here...

Welcome back to Holiday, USA, small town America, where nothing happens, except holidays... and a little romance, if the hero and heroine trust God.

Her life a mess, EMT Belle Carlisle wants a fresh start. She's lived in Holiday a few years and likes it well enough. She's happy, mostly. 'Be Bold' is her personal aphorism, but it was never intended to include asking a man on a date.

Born and raised in Holiday, Vince Timmons is certain the prettiest EMT on the planet could never be interested in a younger man. Besides, his life is a mess. Not to mention the woman he pursued for over a year humiliated him in public. The last thing he needs is to fall for another woman who doesn't want him.

Man looks on the outward appearance and judges accordingly. God looks on the heart...

It will be available in paperback in the next Holiday USA Anthology in 2017.

I'd like to share here the Dedication and Acknowledgments page. I don't think most people see it, as Kindle usually pops the book in on Chapter One.

Dedication
To God the Great Provider, including angels on earth. Thank you to all those who see the child in need and provide. My gratitude to my Savior and Redeemer, Jesus Christ, for being both peace giver and warrior, for not caring about the muck and the mire in His effort to rescue His lost sheep.

Acknowledgements
Thank you to Provident Films, the makers of War Room, and Rik Swartzwelder and Team Old Fashioned for kindly giving me permission to reference their wonderful movies in my Holiday, USA series. I pray my storytelling honors theirs. I'm grateful for their courage and inspiration.

Thank you to John McDougall, Chaplain, U.S. Army, for giving me permission to mention his book, Jesus Was an Airborne Ranger. It inspired and strengthened me in my battle to follow my Commander, the Warrior Jesus.

May God continue to bless them in their efforts.

Week 253 of REAL

REAL - Reduce stress Exercise Adequate sleep Lower caloric intake

What Navy SEALs are required to do to make it into BUD/S:
Right up front: Never in a million years could I do what is required. However, I needed to start somewhere. Considering how fit the SEALs are, I figured it was a good place to start. So my SEAL puppy reps (SEALp) consist of girls' pushups, crunches, and flutter kicks, a SEAL training basic. I started with doing one of each.  Since my accident I haven't done these, but I'm working to add them back into my routine.
PT ~ Physical therapy
UB ~ Upper body exercises
10 reps
Cutting back to basics. I'm also working on eating better and sleeping better. I've a bad habit of doing too much all at once, becoming frustrated and/or overwhelmed, and stumbling. In this, I want solid success before stepping up a level. My poor body has been abused too much over the years to continue the pattern. I'm pretty torn down. I need to build.

SEALFit shared some good hints I want to learn and remember:

22: Short walks. PT. UB. Stretch.

23: 3-mile walk. PT. UB. Stretch.

24: Rest.

25: 1-mile walk. PT. UB. Stretch.

26: Short walks. PT. UB. Stretch.

27: 1-mile walk. PT. UB. Stretch.

28: Short walks. PT. UB. Stretch.

The first picture was taken in February 2012. The second picture was taken in June 2012. Inspiration, at least to me:

Brain Dump

Rule #1: Stop lying, especially to yourself. Before baby became a word, the term was fetus, in Latin. Fetus = Baby It's a baby.
