Brain Dump

How does anyone take news reporters seriously? I saw an article about how a comment from the president could be traced back to 1967. Really? You have to go back 53 years to dig up the dirt you want to throw? Did the reporter bother to ask the president what he meant? Nope. Didn't bother. Another reporter did bother to ask and was told that the words were in reference to something that happened that day. Not 53 years old but hours. I not only can't take the reporter seriously, but I can't take seriously anyone who shared the reporter's article. It revealed nothing about the current event but definitely shone a light on the bias of the reporter and those who chose to believe her.

Not long after the article was released, the newspaper itself admitted it was biased. If a paper is biased, it isn't a newspaper; it's an opinion paper.

REAL Week 578

REAL - Reduce stress Exercise Adequate sleep Lower caloric intake

What Navy SEALs are required to do to make it into BUD/S:
Right up front: Never in a million years could I do what is required. However, I needed to start somewhere. Considering how fit the SEALs are, I figured it was a good place to start. My pushups are against the wall.

Using 1, 2, and/or 4-lb weights:
PT ~ Physical therapy
UBP ~ Upper body exercises, pushups, and chair sits against the wall

SEALFit shared some good hints I want to learn and remember:

21: 1 hour of yard work PT UBP 0-lb x3 Stretch

22: 2-mile walk PT UBP 0-lb x3 1-lb x3 Stretch

23: Rest

24: 1-1/2 mile walk PT UBP 0-lb x3 1-lb x3 Stretch

25: 1/2 mile walk PT UBP 0-lb
x3 Stretch

26: 1-3/4-mile walk PT UBP 0-lb x3 1-lb x3 Stretch

27: 1/2-mile walk PT UBP 0-lb x3 Stretch

Brain Dump

Saying that absolute truths don't exist is a lie. Pretending doesn't change the truth. What helped me understand this better was a quote about the Ten Commandments. "You don't break the Ten Commandments. You break yourself against the Ten Commandments."

Brain Dump

Why do so many people put so much trust and faith in the center for disease control? They are a a government entity. You know the same government that runs the VA and DMV and numerous other problematic agencies. Even so, the bottom line IS still the bottom line. At the same time, they have proven themselves to be both inept and follow false science.

They've followed two entities that have repeatedly been wrong. And yet, they ignore reliable science sources like Oxford and Stanford and Yale.

If my personal doctor bungled as badly as the cfdc, I would fire that doctor and consider a malpractice suit. I know mistakes happen, but clutching those mistakes like precious pearls and refusing to acknowledge those mistakes is criminal.

Rule #1: Stop lying, especially to yourself. Before baby became a word, the term was fetus, in Latin. Fetus = Baby It's a baby.
