16. Silver Rain by Staci Stallings YA contemporary Christian romance. Staci always manages to touch on a weakness or flaw in my life and blessedly give me a different way of looking at it. Loved the story.
17. Financial Peace Revisited by Dave Ramsey nonfiction. Practical help for learning to manage one's personal finances. I discovered I was better at some things than I thought and more clearly recognized what I need to work on. I'm a bit startled by how much simply knowing those things has eased my mind. I still have a lot to learn and improve, but I feel more capable. I'd recommend the book to anyone looking to improve.
18. One Christmas In Winter (Winter, Montana Book 1) by Bell Renshaw contemporary romance.
19. The Price of Silence by Staci Stallings YA (high school) contemporary romance. Something I learned long ago: Silence serves the abuser not the victim. Break the silence. You never know when speaking a painful truth will set someone else free because they finally realize they are not alone. I always have trouble putting down one of Staci's stories.
20. Operation Mountain Rescue (Cutter's Code series) by Justine Davis suspense romance. Re-read one of my favorite romance storytellers, with an awesome dog.

Happy Valentine's Day
...celebrate with a story.
Valentine Delivery
Time for the third novella in the series...
Welcome back to Holiday, USA, small town America, where nothing happens, except holidays... and maybe a little romance, if the hero and heroine trust God.
Lance Nelson delivers flowers every Valentine's Day. This year, he decides to show the woman he's secretly loved all his life exactly how he feels, creating a unique bouquet especially for her.
This Valentine's Day, Sharon Kelly decides to stop waiting for someone to send her what she wants and orders a bouquet of flowers for herself. She might as well arrange for her secret crush to deliver them.
God works in mysterious ways to provide the way to Happily Ever After, even when His children stand in their own way...

Brain Dump
Read about a murderer, from 30 years ago, was captured. How much money was spent to capture him? In the meantime, felons were released during the epidemic and are continuing to be released. Cities are refusing to capture criminals who commit crimes the city deems not that bad. Rapists are being released; people who murder innocence. Sin is still sin, even when the "powers that be" decide they don't agree. The hypocrisy is beyond mind boggling.

11. Second Impressions (Autumn Book 4) by Pepper Basham contemporary Christian romance, sprinkled with a generous amount of Jane Austen. Fun.
12. Shenandoah Watercolors by Beth Trissel non-fiction. The author shares snippets of her life for one year. The poetic prose paint vivid pictures. Some moments bring laughter and some tears.
13. Honor Bound (Love and Honor Book 1) by Hallee Bridgeman suspense Christian romance. Great story.
14. The Five-Year Guide to Self-Sufficiency by Amelia Barrows non-fiction. Year by year, a clear plan is laid out to become self-sufficient, from gardening (what to start out with and what to add as the years go by) to livestock (chickens, goats, cattle, bees, sheep, and more) to canning and bottling to alternative energy. This basic guide fascinated me but also assured me I'm not up for the challenge. I have trouble keeping "hard-to-kill" houseplants alive. I've had one successful garden. It was labor intensive and was lost the following year to bugs. I also don't have the space. Fascinating.
15. The Best Mistakes (Dream's Edge #2.5) by Traci Hunter Abramson romance. As always, another story difficult to put down. I'm looking forward to the last book being released on February 14th.

Rule #1: Stop lying, especially to yourself. Before baby became a word, the term was fetus, in Latin. Fetus = Baby It's a baby.
