TBR 2026

91. Friends and Foes (Jonquil Brothers series Book 1) by Sarah M. Eden Regency romance. A bit of suspense and mystery. While I'm not usually a fan of enemies to friends, this worked spectacularly. Touching and funny and will read again. Keeper.

92. Drops of Gold  (Jonquil Brothers series Book 2) by Sarah M. Eden Regency romance. Heartwarming. Tackled a difficult subject, particularly for the early 1800s. The history fascinates me. Love the Jonquils. I want to be more like the heroine.

93. Clairvoyance by Joan Sowards clean contemporary romance. Sweet.

94. For Elise by Sarah M. Eden Regency romance. While this book is listed as a stand alone, the hero is the cousin of the heroine in "Drops of Gold." I have never had a friendship like the one between the hero and the heroine, but I have dreamed for one. Another keeper.

95. As You Are (Jonquil Brothers series Book 3) by Sarah M. Eden Regency romance. Love Corbin! It was delightful to see the Duke of Kielder make an appearance. Clara and the children are charming.

REAL 28 Sep 2026

Cooler weather does not mean more walking, though it should. I'm tired. The woman with the issue of blood is more and more familiar; not impressed by daily cramping. Eating better this past week than the week before. Sleep is good some night but not so much others. I remembered to do PT a few times; I don't know why I'm having more trouble remembering.

Brain Dump

My lack of trust for the official news is not new. It started way back in the 1980s. Yep, WAY BACK. Several events occurred, some I witnessed and some a friend witnessed, and what the news reported is not what we witnessed for ourselves. Every once in a while, I endeavor to give the news another chance. More often than not, I'm not even ten minutes into the show and I'm catching them exaggerating or outright lying or demonstrating an obvious bias. Frustrating.

TBR 2026

86. Victim #8 (Luke Steele series Book 2) by Traci Hunter Abramson suspense romance. Heart-stoping action and adventure. Luke and Amberlyn struggle with their relationship as they work together. A great team. Read again in preparation for the new Book 3.

87. Silent Strike (Luke Steele series Book 3) by Traci Hunter Abramson suspense romance. What a fascinating inside look at the White House. Fictionalized, of course, but with some fact based details. Fun. Action packed.

88. In Perfect Time (Wings of the Nightingale Book 3) by Sarah Sundin historical romance - WW II. This book was given to me for Christmas 2014 by my younger brother's family. Yes, it finally made it to the top of the TBR pile. Well worth reading. I'm not bothered by spoilers from the earlier books in the series. They also sound interesting.

89. Through My Eyes by Tim Tebow autobiography of his early years through college and his first year with the Denver Broncos. A remarkable person, inspiring, encouraging. It's also interesting to look at how far he has come and the amazing things he has since done with his life.

90. The Kiss of a Stranger (Jonquil Brothers series Book 0) by Sarah M. Eden Regency romance. This is a prequel. What happens when you randomly kiss one girl in the hopes of getting rid of another? You end up married, whether you wanted to be or not. Now what? Loved it. I'm looking forward to reading the rest of the series.

Brain Dump

I don't advocate that A I is evil. A I is amoral. However, those who own it and run it are human beings, flawed, imperfect, with morals of their own and far too many have kicked God out of their lives. Without repentance, that never ends well.

REAL 14 Sep 2026

Still too toasty to walk. House work. Trimmed palms and bushes. Sleep is improving; enjoying being able to lay on my bed with my feet up with comfy pillows. Eating better; made some good food choices - didn't buy the donuts or the cupcakes or the ice cream but bought the beef. Remember to do PT a few days.

Brain Dump

News trustworthiness or more to the point lack thereof. On August 31, 2026, yes, the day my new air conditioning unit was installed, it rained, a lot. What should have taken a couple hours took over four because we had to wait for the rain to slow enough the men would work. Half way through the day, the weather app showed 0.4 inches of rain. At the end of the day, it showed 0.14 inches of rain. Wait...what? It doesn't work that way! Add to that, the monthly rainfall, on the 30th, was 1.09 inches. After the 31st, it was still 1.09 inches. Again, it doesn't work that way! Insert eye roll here.

It's Labor Day.

Celebrate with a story.

Faith's Labor

The fifth novella in the series.

Welcome back to Holiday, USA, small town America, where nothing happens, except holidays... and maybe a little romance, if the hero and heroine trust God.

Organic herb farmer Faith Walker regrets many things in her life, none as much as marrying a man who divorced her after their wedding night, leaving her pregnant and alone.

Horse trainer Dusty Harper crushed on Faith all his life. What is he supposed to do when she drops back into his life and turns his world upside down?

God provides unexpected answers to those who seek His will...

If you prefer paperback, Holiday, USA Anthology 2015

All four novellas published in 2015 are available in their entirety in paperback, including the covers on the back, for those who enjoy collecting a series.

TBR 2026

81. Glimmer of Hope by Sarah M. Eden Regency Romance. While this is not part of The Lancaster Family series, it fits here chronologically. Lord Devereaux makes a brief appearance in Courting Miss Lancaster. However, it is listed as a stand alone story, not a part of any series. The story surprised me. A keeper.

82. Romancing Daphne (The Lancaster Family series Book 3) by Sarah M. Eden Regency romance. Another great story of struggling to become one's best self, written with tenderness and humor. Love it.

83. Loving Lieutenant Lancaster (The Lancaster Family series Book 4) by Sarah M. Eden Regency romance. Delightful! What a wonderful series.

84. Charming Artemis (The Lancaster Family series Book 5) by Sarah M. Eden Regency romance. A perfect end to three series, The Gents, The Lancasters, and The Jonquil Brothers. I don't own all the books in the first or third series yet, but I'm working on it. I want to read them in chronological order, which Sarah M. Eden provides on her website. Keeper!

85. Hometown Vendetta (Luke Steele series Book 1) by Traci Hunter Abramson suspense romance. Page turning action with characters I can't help but love and hope for the best for them. Read again in preparation for the new Book 3.
