Bah. Writing Madness

I spent yesterday working on All or Nothing, along with everything else needed to be done. I've been struggling with why I couldn't move forward. I knew something was wrong but couldn't figure out what. I fiddled and adjusted and re-arranged. Nothing improved the flow of the story. I was stuck.

Finally, it dawned on me (a bit of inspiration from God, no doubt) my Chapter Two is really Chapter Four, which means I need Chapter Two and Three first. I feel like a wall has been moved out of my way. Maybe now I'll be able to pick up my writing speed.

Follow Up 26 July 2016

How'd I do?

I worked through a number of problems with All or Nothing I hadn't noticed before. I think I'm on the right track now.

I did pretty well with my eating.

I did my exercise.

I read, changing between reading and writing.

I also took care of social media.

I did laundry.

Heroes... Gertrude Ross Read

Gertrude was already a widow when she married George Read. They spent much of their married life apart as he served the country and she repeatedly need to escape the British. So much is learned from letters penned. It's amazing how much husbands told their wives of what was transpiring. They had five children. The first son died in infancy. The younger three sons survived and married as did the daughter. Gertrude was well thought of, and who of us wouldn't wish the same?

TBR

36. The Perfect Kiss by Anne Gracie Regency romance

37. NSDQ ~ A Night Stalker's novella by M.L. Buchman Suspense romance. I liked it well enough I bought the paperback of the 1st book in the series.

38. The Night is Mine ~ The Night Stalkers Book 1 by M.L. Buchman Suspense romance. There's some language and sex in the longer books. M.L. tells a good suspense story. I like the characters and their development. Yes, I'm hooked on the series.

39. I Own the Dawn ~ The Night Stalkers Book 2 by M.L. Buchman Suspense romance.

40. Once Upon a Night at Sea ~ Princess Cruises Novella by Barbara Longley.

Week 365 of REAL

REAL - Reduce stress Exercise Adequate sleep Lower caloric intake

What Navy SEALs are required to do to make it into BUD/S:
Right up front: Never in a million years could I do what is required. However, I needed to start somewhere. Considering how fit the SEALs are, I figured it was a good place to start. So my SEAL puppy reps (SEALp) consist of girls' pushups, crunches, and flutter kicks, a SEAL training basic. I started with doing one of each.  Since my accident I haven't done these, but I'm working to add them back into my routine.

PT ~ Physical therapy
UB ~ Upper body exercises

SEALFit shared some good hints I want to learn and remember:

15: Short walks. PT. UB. Stretch.

16: 1-1/2 mile walk. PT. UB. Used 1-lb weights. Stretch.

17: Rest.

18: 1-1/2 mile walk. PT. UB. Stretch.

19: Short walks. PT. UB. Stretch.

20: 1-1/2 mile walk. PT. UB. Used 1-lb weights. Stretch.

21: Short walks. PT. UB. Stretch.

The first picture was taken in February 2012. The second picture was taken in June 2012. Inspiration, at least to me:

REAL 2 Nov 2026
