Deadlines...

...generally mean my diet is a mess. I'm proud of myself for restarting my exercise routine. I'm even proud of myself that I didn't actually stop only stumbled a bit. Now, to create healthier eating habits.

I love cool tree trunks...

Week 136 of REAL...

REAL - Reduce stress Exercise Adequate sleep Lower caloric intake

What Navy SEALs are required to do to make it into BUD/S:
RIght up front: Never in a million years could I do what is required. However, I needed to start somewhere. Considering how fit the SEALs are, I figured it was a good place to start. So my SEAL puppy reps (SEALp) consist of girls' pushups, crunches, and flutter kicks, a SEAL training basic. I started with doing one of each.
Hip lifts
PT ~ Physical therapy using 2-lb and 1-lb weights, alternating days.
UB ~ Upper body exercises
I've worked up to 50 and then 10 more.

The 24th: 2-mile walk. Bruised knee made the SEALp undoable. Didn't do the upper body stuff because of the intense writing. Arms are being worked out. Really. Okay, so I did some of my PT, but without weights.

The 25th: 1-mile walk. Cut back catclaw. Spring is on the horizon.

The 26th: Rest.

The 27th: 2-mile walk.

The 28th: PT.

The 29th: 2-mile walk. SEALp. PT. UB.

The 30th: PT.

Reporting on Tuesday's success... or lack thereof...

I finished my regular work. It also tends to throw me off on my writing. However, I've also done some serious re-writing of two chapters. They didn't feel right, and my editor informed me they didn't make sense. She was right. They're much better now. I hope.

Something to brighten the day, ducks from last spring, momma and four itty-bitties...

Follow up Tuesday...

Grace's Possibilities is coming along. I also worked on the Cover Art request, one more thing due on the 1st. I'm making it the very best I'm able.

The chocolate cake is yummy.

I also did laundry. Woohoo! A little extra.

Ate okay. Did some exercise but not all. I figure I'm doing aerobics all day trying to finish on time.

Another day, today, of writing.

Follow up on this week's writing...

Published Chocolate Cake for Two. Why I'm able to see some errors only after books are published, I do not know. It's annoying. Today, I uploaded corrected versions of Happy New Year? and Chocolate Cake for Two. Minor typos that pained my OCD heart. I read through Valentine Delivery, the next in the series. I'm into the rewrite of Grace's Possibilities. The postcards I ordered for the panel this Saturday arrived. At P.Croissant, this morning, I wrote out the days between now and the 1st of February, when Grace's Possibilities is due. I'll check them off as I go.

What I know:

I cannot do this on my own. If I succeed, it will be by God's grace alone. I'm not particularly good at throwing everything on God. No time like the present to learn. May God have mercy on me.

The 21st: PT.

The 22nd: 2-mile walk. PT. UB. I bruised my knee last night and the SEAL routine was definitely out of the question, today.

The 23rd: PT.

Brain Dump

Rule #1: Stop lying, especially to yourself. Before baby became a word, the term was fetus, in Latin. Fetus = Baby It's a baby.
