Ann married Elbridge Gerry. She was educated in Dublin. She played hostess to her husband's many duties. He was busy with helping the birth of a country, where most of his considerable wealth ended. He carried a miniature (small painting) of her. It sounds like the couple was devoted to each other despite being frequently separated.
She educated her children and stood with her husband. Her children helped her after their father died.
From what little was shared, it sounds like she was a remarkable woman who loved and was loved.
Isn't to love and be loved what every soul craves?
