Pay Gap.
In San Diego, a single woman makes $1.15, while a single man makes $1.
The stats used in the "War against women" are manipulated. What a surprise. Not. ~ (my snark mark)
What those who quote how much less women earn than men don't tell you:
*They do NOT tell you that they are comparing apples to oranges rather than apples to apples.
-They compared a female secretary to a male CEO.
-They did NOT compare a male secretary to a female CEO.
-They compared men and women in different jobs.
-They did NOT compare men and women in the same job, with the same experience, the same education, the same benefits, the same risks.
-They compared teachers to oil platform workers.
-They did NOT mention that women are more likely to choose teacher over oil platform worker because teacher is more conducive to family life and a lot less risky.
-They did NOT compare job risks, like the fact that women are less likely to take life-risking jobs than men were.
-They did NOT mention that women are less likely than men to take jobs that require extensive travel.
Creating a narrative that fits the message you want to convey, regardless of the facts, is called LYING.
Rule #1: Stop lying, especially to yourself.
