My Heroes... Julia Stockton Rush

How fascinating! Julia was the eldest daughter of one of the signers of the Declaration of Independence and married, in January 1776, Dr. Benjamin Rush, a doctor and signer. They had 13 children; 4 died in infancy.

Dr. Benjamin Rush's tribute to his wife is something I would wish to aspire to if I married.

A great-grandson lamented the failure to properly document the women for their support and devotion to their husbands and the cause of liberty.
