I read a headline about how the government is prepared for an 18-month lockdown.
No, it isn't.
If the government hasn't prepared the people for an 18-month lockdown, it isn't prepared. The government is by and for the people. People in the government being prepared doesn't qualify the "government" as being prepared either. If the government had been prepared, we wouldn't be in the mess we are. The government is playing a dangerous game of let's pretend.
