Brain Dump

What is truth?

Whatever God says is truth. When you step outside the God realm you step away from truth.

Throughout my life, I've had people teach me that their opinion was the truth and that the truth had shades of gray and depended on their facts. The only problem is that their facts were based in their opinion. For them, it made it easier, because they could change the facts with their opinions and remain comfortable in their life. They need the truth to be easy, uncomplicated, comfortable.

The truth isn't easy, uncomplicated, or comfortable. The truth requires looking in the dark places and digging out the filth. It isn't as simple as deciding what to eat for dinner.

Truth requires mindful awareness. It demands choosing rightly, over and over again.

Often, truth is disguised in coarseness. A diamond in the rough is no less a diamond. What gives the diamond its highest value is knocking off the edges. God knows how and where to cut away what isn't needed. He provided us His word to teach us what He requires of us to become our best selves.

The question is: Will we submit to His process?
