To the rich man who wants to dim the sun, how about spending all that money to help find a cure for cancer? Or kidney disease? Or heart disease? Or end human trafficking? Or end starvation? Oh, wait, you clearly want starvation since you want to dim the sun. A philanthropist is not generous or kind or even a real philanthropist if the plan includes starving people.
