Brain Dump

A friend revealed that many insurance companies are backing out of covering homes with solar panels and electric cars. Why? Because if they catch fire, they are left to burn. Why? Because firefighters are discovering that they can't put them out. They have to let it burn itself out. Scary thought.

This is the link to the introduction to the channel, not all the books are available in audio, yet: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nGVJPRV1LPg  I enjoyed it but admit I got impatient and had to read the last few chapters ahead of their audio release. I'll listen to them as they are posted. You can listen to it one chapter at a time or several at once. I'm enjoying it. I like the narrator, Becky Doughty of BraveHeart Audiobook Productions.

Brain Dump

The truth about renewable energy: The energy is renewable; what creates and stores the energy for use is not. Wind farms are another boondoggle. Did you know that several cities have turned off their wind farms because the energy was inconsistent and unreliable. Wait...what? Wasn't renewable energy sold as a reliable source of energy? "They" lied? Horrors. Disgusting. Remember the year Texas froze because the windmills froze? And the solar panels didn't work because they were covered in snow? And yet, there is an astonishing refusal to learn from painful experience. Remember that the resources needed to create those renewable energy devices are not renewable. Most of those resources aren't even recyclable. And you thought plastic was bad. A disturbing amount of "pennywise pound foolish" going on.

111. The 9-12 Project by Staci Stalling Christian meditation audiobook on YouTube https://youtu.be/gRxwkGJxfnA?si=OOrOhS6rlyFeNj1J. I've read it several times, working through each day. When I was feeling unwell, I took the opportunity to simply listen to the whole thing. Glad I did. I needed the reminders and inspiration.

112. If You Believed in Love by Staci Stallings contemporary romance. An enjoyable journey. Like the characters in the story, my favorite authors help me see myself more clearly and improve. It was fun going through the process in an English Lit class focusing on poetry and Jane Austen stories. The growth of the hero and heroine was satisfying.

113Noah (Clean Army Ranger series Book 1) by Bree Livingston and Christina Schrunk suspense romance. I've read this before. In fact, it's why I wanted to read more stories by this pair of authors. I enjoyed it a second time around. A keeper.

114Kolby (Clean Army Ranger series Book 2) by Bree Livingston and Christina Schrunk suspense  romance. Kolby and Ivy captured my heart, but how were they going to work it all out? I enjoyed watching their personal growth journeys.

115. Gunner (Clean Army Ranger series Book 3) by Bree Livingston and Christina Schrunk suspense romance. Captured by the opening line. A page turner.

Brain Dump

The truth about renewable energy: The energy is renewable; what creates and stores the energy for use is not. Solar panels are touted to last up to 40 years. Sounds great! They never mention the results may vary clause. And provided those panels are used under ideal conditions with regular maintenance and possible replacement needs. What are ideal conditions? Somewhere in the 70-degree range, year round, without things like hail storms, tornadoes, hurricanes, etc. They also don't tell you that solar panels create hot spots. The people I know who have saved money on solar panels have used government incentives. In other words, taxpayer money is paying them to use solar panels. If solar panels are so great why do energy costs keep soaring higher? Weren't solar panels supposed to reduce costs? Maybe we don't have enough people participating? Isn't that always the clarion call of things that don't work? If you can't create a noticeable difference without everyone involved then you're selling a phony product, aren't you? Lying is ugly and hurtful. Next time: wind farms.

Labor Day

Celebrate Labor Day with a story:

Faith's Labor

At long last, the fifth novella in the series has arrived...

Welcome back to Holiday, USA, small town America, where nothing happens, except holidays... and maybe a little romance, if the hero and heroine trust God.

Organic herb farmer Faith Walker regrets many things in her life, none as much as marrying a man who divorced her after their wedding night, leaving her pregnant and alone.

Horse trainer Dusty Harper crushed on Faith all his life. What is he supposed to do when she drops back into his life and turns his world upside down?

God provides unexpected answers to those who seek His will...

If you prefer paperbacks, Holiday, USA Anthology 2015

All four novellas published in 2015 are available in their entirety in paperback, including the covers on the back, for those who enjoy collecting a series.

Rule #1: Stop lying, especially to yourself. Before baby became a word, the term was fetus, in Latin. Fetus = Baby It's a baby.
