Please stop calling anything from the government free. It's a lie. A hoax. A scam. Nothing the government gives is free. NOTHING. Whatever the government gives it attained through taxes, sales tax, city tax, county tax, state tax, federal tax, fees, income tax, etc. Everyone pays, rich and poor. We can argue and bicker about who pays what and how much, which suits the government fine because it completely distracts from the truth: The government is the one who raises and lowers those amounts depending on how much they think they can get away with it, i.e., which voting block they're attempting to woo. How does it feel to be courted by the slick government bureaucrats? They whisper lies about helping the poor while they line their own pockets doing things for which the average taxpayer would be prosecuted and jailed, like insider trading. They promise to make sure everything is fair. By whose standard? Too many people assume it is by their own standard. It isn't. There is NO SUCH THING AS FAIR. Never has been. Never will be. Get over it. Welcome to real life. We pay the government, state and federal, through taxes. Free = Taxpayer funded. If it's free, you ARE paying for it. Are there those who "work the system?" Without a doubt, both at the top and at the bottom. Here's the real question: How much is your integrity, your honor worth? Free college? Free healthcare? Free... isn't free. The only thing in life truly free for the taking is the offer made by the Savior, Jesus Christ, and even that isn't free. He's asking for your soul, but at least you'll genuinely be given wealth beyond all imaginings when you accept His offer. Choose wisely.
