My Heroes... Elizabeth Meredith Clymer

What a romantic story! She was raised in wealth and prominence. Her husband was an orphan but taken in by an uncle. His uncle left most of his wealth to him, but he was savvy enough to increase the wealth. He married at 27 to the younger Elizabeth. They had 8 children, though 3 died in infancy. She was admired and supportive. From what's known, they had a harmonious marriage marred by long separations and the upheaval of the war. The British disliked her husband and ransacked their home. Courage, honor, strength, endurance.
