Anne Baldwin married Samuel Chase in 1762. Thought she bore six children, two sons and four daughters, she didn't live long enough to see her husband's involvements in the Revolutionary War. So young. Years later, Samuel went to England and married Miss Hannah Kilty Giles, of London, who bore him two daughters. I can't imagine what these women endured. I would hope they knew love and if not peace then some measure of contentment.
