I thought it appropriate to share her again. Bishop Thomas J. Tobin shared this on social media:
Mother Teresa Becomes a Saint
This coming Sunday, September 4th, the Church will celebrate the canonization of Mother Teresa in Rome. We will also celebrate this wonderful occasion here in Providence, at the 10:00 Mass at the Cathedral of Ss. Peter and Paul. All are invited to join us for this sacred and joyous occasion.
We honor St. Teresa of Calcutta as a saint, a special friend of Jesus, and a role model for all of us. We should think about what she herself said: “Holiness does not consist in doing extraordinary things. It consists in accepting, with a smile, whatever Jesus sends us. It consists in accepting and following the will of God.”
Saint Teresa, pray for us.
