My Heroes... Elizabeth Bassett Harrison

There's no actual record of her birth or marriage. Three sons and four daughters survived infancy and lived upstanding lives, speaking well of the parents who raised them. She survived her husband by one year. Perhaps the most important thing to learn, or at least an important one, is the value of letters and journals in revealing the daily living and details as well as the a glimpse into the hearts and minds of the writers.
