She married Francis Lightfoot Lee, the younger brother of Richard Henry Lee. Though her family goes back to the Honorable William Taylor, of London, they don't know when the last name was changed to Tayloe. Both Rebecca and Francis came from wealthy families. Sadly, they had no children. They married in 1769 and passed away within a month of each other in 1797.
It's astounding to read of a family with only four children and only half of them growing up, while in another family there are eleven children and all of them grow up and marry. So many things are different and yet so many things the same.
