We have greater computer capabilities than were available for the original moon launch. Instead of rooms of computers, it's all at our fingertips. And yet, people refuse to do their own homework. I've made a habit of looking up additional information, like I did about masks. People who claim to be smart continue to choose to believe whoever spouts their preferred bias. The truth is readily available to anyone willing to do a little research. For the record, finding out the truth about masks took me less than a minute. I didn't buy into one source but found more than four different, unrelated sources. If you see an article that supports your bias, ask yourself if you're willing to find the truth or if you just wanted someone to validate your opinion.
The various sites I've read on the N95 masks all state that most people can't wear them effectively without having proper training. All masks must be worn with the cloth flush to the skin, no gaps at all anywhere. Funnily enough, one of the articles I read said that you should be able to breathe. In the last three months, I've seen less than a dozen people wearing a mask correctly.
What the mask advocates don't tell you: Little mention is made of carbon dioxide poisoning from breathing your own carbon dioxide. (It's why I don't wear one.) Infections of the skin and lungs are becoming common because people are infecting themselves with their own germs.
So many things are wrong with this whole fiasco. Is COVID-19 real? Yes. Is it nasty? Yes. Will a vaccine be found? Probably not. We've no vaccine for SARs or Ebola or Lupus or a host of other nasty illnesses. We don't even have one for the common cold, which can be deadly to someone with a compromised immune system.
