Remember Afghanistan.

Our soldiers don't sign up to kill people. They want to make the world a safer, better place. Sometimes, sadly, killing is part of the bargain. Evil does not listen to reason.

I read blogs, listen to presentations, know people who are willing to share their experiences.

There are always bad apples. They exist everywhere.

The vast majority are good, compassionate, souls. In truth, they rise above the ordinary because they are willing to sacrifice their life. They don't want to die anymore than most, but they accept the risk and consider their calling worth it.
