Week 159 of REAL...

REAL - Reduce stress Exercise Adequate sleep Lower caloric intake

What Navy SEALs are required to do to make it into BUD/S:
RIght up front: Never in a million years could I do what is required. However, I needed to start somewhere. Considering how fit the SEALs are, I figured it was a good place to start. So my SEAL puppy reps (SEALp) consist of girls' pushups, crunches, and flutter kicks, a SEAL training basic. I started with doing one of each.

PT ~ Physical therapy using 2-lb and 1-lb weights, alternating days.
UB ~ Upper body exercises
I'm starting low, at 10, to restart my workouts, with no weights yet.

4: 1-mile walk. PT. UB.

5: 1-mile walk. PT

6: Rest.

7: 1-mile walk. PT.

8: 1-mile walk. PT.

9: 1-mile walk. PT.

10: 1-mile walk. PT.

The first picture was taken in February 2012. The second picture was taken in June 2012. Inspiration, at least to me:

What was I thinking?

"Tarnished Knight" is coming along, but it's painfully slow. I've daydreamed about Jack and his story for a couple of years. Now, it's time to tell it, and the words are all stuck in my head.

The pain in my arm is a distraction, so is the trouble I'm having with my stomach.

However, those are excuses and not helpful ones.

Hmmm... I haven't thought as much about Jack the closer his story came to being due. Perhaps I don't want his story to be told because I don't want him to move on. Yes, some characters are like that.

My Heroes... Unknown Soldiers...

My heart breaks and overflows at the same time. Sorrow at the loss and gratitude for their courage, strength, and honor.
