Christmas Traditions

I don't know if this is still available, but I'll look for it: Hosley Candle Company Rustic Pine scent. I haven't found it so far. I'm glad I bought extra two years ago. It's the only scent I've found that comes close to truly smelling like pine.

First Saturday Pancake Breakfast: Yummy way to start December.

Mulberry candles.

Do one thing every day to prepare for Christmas.

Polar Express movie.

ION television shows their own collection of Christmas movies that they play on the weekends. Not high end stuff. Some aren't worth the time, but a few are warm fuzzies, like A Christmas Kiss I and II.

To help me remember: 12 Days After Christmas starts with 1st night, the night of Christmas Day, ending on 12th night on the 5th of January and 12th day on the 6th.

How'd I do?

Worked a little on All or Nothing.

Went through Knight in Disguise, checking for obvious errors, like the odd sentence pasted into the middle of a word. Don't know how that happened, but it's corrected now.

Walked and did PT.

Ate pretty well.

No time to read as I went through Knight in Disguise.

My Heroes... Susan Lyme Penn

Wow. They aren't even sure of her birth. Was it 1741 or 1742. The historians did know she was born in Kent County, VA. And she died many years after her husband, who died at forty-seven. What courage it takes to hold one's place in history, without glory or even notice.

I did a quick search for more information and found no more than I had. There are times when I fear being remembered and times when I fear being forgotten. I need to stop worrying about either and concentrate on filling my place in history.

Week 383 of REAL

REAL - Reduce stress Exercise Adequate sleep Lower caloric intake

What Navy SEALs are required to do to make it into BUD/S:
Right up front: Never in a million years could I do what is required. However, I needed to start somewhere. Considering how fit the SEALs are, I figured it was a good place to start. So my SEAL puppy reps (SEALp) consist of girls' pushups, crunches, and flutter kicks, a SEAL training basic. I started with doing one of each.  Since my accident I haven't done these, but I'm working to add them back into my routine.

PT ~ Physical therapy
UB ~ Upper body exercises

SEALFit shared some good hints I want to learn and remember:

18: Short walks. PT. UB. Stretch.

19: 1-mile walk. PT. UB. Used 1-lb weights. Stretch. Still recovering.

20: Rest.

21: 1-mile walk. PT. UB. Used 1-lb weights. Stretch.

22: Short walks. PT. UB. Stretch.

23: 1-mile walk. PT. UB. Used 1-lb weights. Stretch.

24: Short walks. PT. UB. Stretch.

My Heroes... Anne Clark Hooper

She married William Hooper nine years before the signing of the Declaration of Independence. What little we know of her is that she was spoken of highly. She was a widow by 1790, after being harassed for years. They had two sons and a daughter, who survived and married.
