I ate NO eggs alone this year.

Yay! And other good things.

Grace's Possibilities, from the Endless Possibilities series, was published.

Finding Home, from The Silver Locket Sisterhood series, was published.

All of my Desert Breeze Publishing books are available in eformat and paperback.

Two more books are scheduled to come out in January and February of 2015.

Chocolate Cake for Two, Valentine Delivery, and Tough Luck of the Holiday, USA series, were published.

I'm working towards preparing a paperback anthology of my novellas.

The fifth novella in the series is in the works.

I presented a workshop on "The Writer's Environment" at the Arizona Buildin' the Dream conference.

I participated as a reader at the Arizona Dreamin' Readers' conference.

Instead of abusing food, I'm learning to celebrate it.

I've spent more time with friends.

I walk six days a week and do my physical therapy.

I'm learning how to take care of me.

Tuesday Follow Up...

How'd I do?

I don't know how gathered my wits are.

I did do a bit of reading.

We'll see if I do better today.

Better than what?

I have emails I need to send out.

Errands are on today's list.

Maybe a nap...

Carpe Diem

What needs to be done, today?

Final edits are in for two books. I need to gather my wits and make plans for the coming year's writing projects and deadlines.

Reading is on the table. I've discovered some new authors I like on first reading.

One thing at a time. Things feel different. I can't explain. I'm not sure if it will last or if it's the unsettling sensation of being in the middle of holidays.

My Heroes... Wise Men...

In this Season, I often reflect on one of my favorite Christmas quotes:

Wise men seek Him still.

It takes honor and courage to choose to follow Jesus.

I read in the news of Christians who are slaughtered for their faith in Jesus Christ. This month, four boys were told to denounce Jesus or die. All four declared their love and trust in Jesus. They were beheaded.

Without my faith, I would question what kind of God would allow such a thing. However, it is my faith that calms my heart and reminds me this life is not all there is. In truth, in the eternities, this life is but a small moment. However, what I choose here determines whether or not I will endure regrets later.

Hell is truth seen too late.

I want to believe I would be as brave as those boys and the Christians who live in a land intolerant of their faith.

Twelve Days of Christmas...

January 6th is Twelfth Day.

Last night, was the 1st night. I've wanted to celebrate the 12 days of Christmas, but haven't managed to create a lasting habit, yet. Giving it another attempt.

Christmas isn't a single moment or event.

Christmas is a promise kept by God, the birth of the long-awaited Messiah, the Savior of the World. He came to earth to teach us how to live in order to find the greatest joy. He finished his lessons by suffering in Gethsemane and dying on the cross and finally being resurrected. He covered everything.

Worth celebrating.

Week 183 of REAL...

A Child Is Born, A Son Is Given

Merry Christmas!

REAL - Reduce stress Exercise Adequate sleep Lower caloric intake

What Navy SEALs are required to do to make it into BUD/S:
RIght up front: Never in a million years could I do what is required. However, I needed to start somewhere. Considering how fit the SEALs are, I figured it was a good place to start. So my SEAL puppy reps (SEALp) consist of girls' pushups, crunches, and flutter kicks, a SEAL training basic. I started with doing one of each.

PT ~ Physical therapy using 2-lb and 1-lb weights, alternating days.
UB ~ Upper body exercises
I'm starting low, at 10, to restart my workouts, with no weights yet.

19: 1-1/2 mile walk. PT. UB.

20: 2-mile walk. PT.

21: Rest.

22: 1-1/2 mile walk. PT.

23: 1/2 mile walk. PT.

24: 1-1/2 mile walk. PT.

25: 1/2 mile walk. PT.

The first picture was taken in February 2012. The second picture was taken in June 2012. Inspiration, at least to me:
