Brain Dump

Watched a show where the couple talked about building a wind farm, while they were making dinner. Imagine my astonishment when they dumped the apple cores and peals in the trash instead of composting. Really?

Wind farms haven't proven themselves to be reliable and most decidedly aren't cheap, not to mention a bear to keep running and expensive to dispose of when no longer useable. We won't go into all the bird life that's literally cut short. 

Food waste costs practically nothing to compost and is good for the earth.

I grew up with a saying that fits: Pennywise and pound foolish.
