I'm taking extra walks. To be honest, I'm surprised by how much more I'm willing to do now that I'm not keeping careful track of what I'm doing. Taking care of the yard, planting pansies, trimming the palms, pulling weeks, all are less tedious and drudgery now I'm not keeping time, simply doing what needs to be done. I'm even being more aware of what I'm eating.

With all the rain, I didn't feel guilty for not going for walks. Rain brings out the mold, to which I'm horribly allergic. Times like this, walking isn't healthy for me. I did do my physical therapy and leg lifts. I also endeavored to make it to bed before midnight. Healthy eating is more difficult when I'm cold because I'm eating to help me stay warm. I caught myself falling into that old habit and tried to make healthier choices. Sometimes I did well and sometimes not so much. I'll keep working to be better than I was.

Valentine's Day is next week...

 

TBR 2024

11. Wedding a Warrior by Hannah Conway inspirational romance. This novella includes discussion questions at the end that are a little different from most. I liked them as the questions focused more on the reader rather than the story.

12. Undercurrents (Book 1) by Traci Hunter Abramson suspense romance. This is the 20th Anniversary edition, with updated covers and minor editorial changes. Yes, I had both books side by side, checking. Good changes, tightening and improving points of view. It meant more to me as I work on improving my own books.

13. Ripple Effect (Book 2) by Traci Hunter Abramson suspense romance. Again, the 20th Anniversary edition has minor changes that are unnoticeable overall. Still love the story.

14. The Deep End (Book 3) by Traci Hunter Abramson suspense romance. The 20th Anniversary edition appears shorter, until you realize the font is slightly smaller. Other minor changes don't change the story, more cleaning it up a little bit.

15.  Freefall (Saint Squad series Book 1) by Traci Hunter Abramson suspense romance. Yes, I couldn't resist; I'm reading the series again. A new book is coming out in June. I want to be prepared to dive right in. That's my story and I'm sticking to it.

How weird is it that I'm enjoying exercising more now that I'm not keeping precise notes? I didn't walk much when I was fighting a cold, but I did do physical therapy. Once my cold was over, I added walking back in and even walked more.

Have you looked into what is required to build an electric car? In the long run, it's dirtier and less sustainable than a fossil fuel car. But that doesn't fit the desired narrative. Never mind the child slave laborers in the countries providing those rare materials required for manufacturing. Oh, and ignore the diesel generators used to ensure those electric outlets have power to provide. The levels of self-deception required are mind boggling.
