Brain Dump

The 2nd Amendment clearly states: "...shall not be infringed." This means shall not be limited or, if you prefer, will not be limited. No limits. What part of no limits is not clear? If someone doesn't like the 2nd Amendment, they are free to leave the United States of America and go to a country that has no 2nd Amendment.

The tyranny of expertise tells me I must agree with them because they're smart; their degrees say so. Proof positive. No. No. I don't. No. It isn't. If a degree doesn't teach someone the meaning of "shall not be infringed," then the person needs to request a refund for not learning something so basic.

For those who buy into the graphs and pie charts provided by those who are anti-gun, here are stats they won't share with you:

Nationwide. In 1979, the Carter Justice Department found that of more than 32,000 attempted rapes, 32% were actually committed. But when a woman was armed with a gun or knife, only 3% of the attempted rapes were actually successful. [20] Justice Department study: * 3/5 of felons polled agreed that "a criminal is not going to mess around with a victim he knows is armed with a gun." [21] * 74% of felons polled agreed that "one reason burglars avoid houses when people are at home is that they fear being shot during the crime."[22] * 57% of felons polled agreed that "criminals are more worried about meeting an armed victim than they are about running into the police." [23]

[2] According to the National Safety Council, the total number of gun deaths (by accidents, suicides and homicides) account for less than 30,000 deaths per year. See Injury Facts, published yearly by the National Safety Council, Itasca, Illinois.

I was dismayed by the graph showing how many people have died from gun violence since 2001 and how many have died from terrorists.

The first showed around 60,000 people a year. The second showed over 2,000 and then 0. The graph didn't include the Boston Bomber because the number wasn't high enough. It didn't include Fort Hood, because the number wasn't high enough. It didn't include the recruitment center, because the number wasn't high enough.

It didn't show that everyday citizens have been the ones to stop the underwear and shoe bomber as well as others. It didn't show how many lives were saved because of a responsible gun owner being present. It didn't show how many lives could have been saved if a responsible gun owner, with their gun, had been present.

Gun free zones are criminal protection zones.

The graphs didn't show how Chicago and D.C. have some of the toughest gun laws in the nation and also have some of the highest gun violence rates.

Those countries without guns, like Australia, England, and Norway. They've discovered criminals don't care about the gun laws. At 69 deaths, the biggest mass shooting rampage happened in Norway.

They say it's a mental health problem. Grief has been defined as a mental illness. This is not about mental health. This is about spiritual health. This is about teaching the value of human life. This is about teaching personal responsibility. This is about being free as opposed to being a slave.

Slaves are not allowed to own guns.

Criminals don't care about laws. That's why they're criminals.

Evil exists. Evil revels in flaunting laws.

Believing you can legislate good behavior and/or legislate evil out of existence requires believing lies.

Rule #1: Stop lying, especially to yourself.
