Another follow up...

This month, I need more than ever to be accountable for every day. It's the only way I'll meet my deadlines.

I love David Rutherford's Froglogic about creating opportunities to fail. I set extremely high word counts. I don't make it, but I make it a whole lot closer than when I set low word counts.

This is a major change for me.

We'll see if I manage to make it a lasting habit.

One day at a time.

  1. That's an interesting method for setting goals and worth remembering -- set the standard high so you reach higher than you would if you set a more attainable goal. I can see that it might be beneficial in other ways, too -- by putting failure in perspective. It's not really failure if you have accomplished something in the process of striving for it!

Reminds me of a passage from Philippians 3:12-14: "Not that I have already obtained all this, or have already arrived at my goal, but I press on to take hold of that for which Christ Jesus took hold of me. Brothers and sisters, I do not consider myself yet to have taken hold of it. But one thing I do: Forgetting what is behind and straining toward what is ahead, I press on toward the goal to win the prize for which God has called me heavenward in Christ Jesus."

Praying for you as you press on one day at a time!
