What Navy SEALs are required to do to make it into BUD/S:
RIght up front: Never in a million years could I do what is required. However, I needed to start somewhere. Considering how fit the SEALs are, I figured it was a good place to start. So my SEAL puppy reps (SEALp) consist of girls' pushups, crunches, and flutter kicks, a SEAL training basic. I started with doing one of each.
PT ~ Physical therapy using 2-lb and 1-lb weights, alternating days.
UB ~ Upper body exercises
I've worked up to 50 and then 10 more.
The 7th: 1-1/4-mile walk. Not doing well.
The 8th: 2-mile walk.
The 9th: Rest.
The 10th: 2-mile walk. SEALp. PT. UB.
The 11th: PT.
The 12th: 2-mile walk. PT. Glad I'm still managing my walks, but I'm in the usual spring upset. Too warm to sleep at night, too cool to turn on the A/C.
The 13th: PT.
Nice to hear that someone is getting spring! I can't wait until the weather changes enough that I can walk outside. It's just not possible at the moment with cold temps and snowy/icy sidewalks that make it more like mountain climbing than walking -- very few people in Chicago shovel the sidewalks, alas!

I would send you some of my sunshine if I could! :-)
