What Navy SEALs are required to do to make it into BUD/S:
RIght up front: Never in a million years could I do what is required. However, I needed to start somewhere. Considering how fit the SEALs are, I figured it was a good place to start. So my SEAL puppy reps (SEALp) consist of girls' pushups, crunches, and flutter kicks, a SEAL training basic. I started with doing one of each.
PT ~ Physical therapy using 2-lb and 1-lb weights, alternating days.
UB ~ Upper body exercises
I've worked up to 50 and then 10 more.
14: 1-1/4-mile walk. Not doing well.
15: 2-mile walk.
16: Rest.
17: 2-mile walk. SEALp.
18: Not doing well. We are not going to discuss how many Rice Crispy Treats I ate.
19: 1-mile walk. I thought I was simply being lazy, but it finally dawned on me the weather is iffy. Clouds move in and move out but no rain. It's like I feel the stress of needing the rain to come in. Then again, I may be trying to find an outside cause to an inside problem. Okay. Today, I'm starting from the bottom of the barrel, again. Okay, nowhere to go but up.
20: PT.
