Brain Dump...

I was disappointed in "The Dove Keepers." It was an okay historical piece, with a lot of bedroom scenes. A friend who's read the book said it was very different. However, I've no desire to read the book. It could have been amazing, but instead ended up boring, a little bit of story tied together with a lot of infidelity. It wasn't inspiring or uplifting, and yes, tragedies can be both, like "The Hiding Place."

Heartbreakingly, Christians, homosexuals, and Muslims not Muslim enough are being slaughtered in the Middle East.

People post everywhere "Never, again!" What do they mean? Never again become involved? So far, so good. If they meant never let it happen we're failing abysmally. Of course, there are no ovens, so maybe that's what we meant. Apparently, beheading, throwing people off buildings, hanging, and stoning aren't as bad.

Girls are forced to watch the murder of their families to incite terror so the girls accept their fate. They are then divided into groups to determine what will happen to them. Little girls as young as 5 years old are sold into the sex slave industry. We do nothing. What is wrong with us?

Clearly, we didn't mean "Never again" as in never allowing atrocities to happen again.

God have mercy on our souls, though we don't deserve it.
