WHOOHOO!!! GO CARL!!
Carl Edwards won the Nationwide race in Texas, today. No cable means I could only watch the leader board on NASCAR.com, but it was still great to see that checkered flag and Carl's name in the #1 slot. Unfortunately, I have not been able to find footage of the winning backflip. Much sadness. Got to love a man who can do a backflip and does it because he knows the crowd loves it. LOL!

Ooooo lots of video... but what frustrated me is that NASCAR pretty much blew off Carl's win because Brad K won the Nationwide title. There are two more races to go, and the race for the title is over. Yes, it's a big deal for the garage because it's their first, but I'm not a Brad fan. So it was disappointing to have Carl's win fluffed over. The sum total of the announcement was that Carl won the race, and then they went straight to Brad's win and never went back to Carl until Victory Lane. But then I haven't been particularly impressed with the powers that be in NASCAR this year. Not having cable, I've not been able to watch most of the races. That would be like the NFL putting more than half their games on ESPN. And NASCAR wonders why their fan base is feeling neglected. Oh. Hmmm... apparently I needed to vent. Thanks, Flutterby! LOL!
