Abraham Clark was born 50 years before the signing of the Declaration of Independence. Another man who would never have been remembered but for his service to his country. An only child born to farmers, his health was such he could not pursue it. He chose mathematics and law. He served the people of his state, New Jersey, well, earning respect and confidence. His sons served in the war and were captured and held prisoner on one of the horrendous prison ships. They were released at the end of the war. Sometime, I'd like to read more about them.
He was honorable in his service to his country. Over and over, I see honor and service as hallmarks of heroes.
