Can you imagine going through life with such a name? Brave man.
His family originated in Wales and migrated to America in 1630. Amazing.
He entered Harvard at 16 and graduated at 20. He studied theology but quit and bought a mercantile. He put his money where his mouth was and invested in America. He wholeheartedly supported American independence, harboring a dislike for British officers who treated the Americans as inferior men.
How different would the world be if respect ruled the day?
I'm again impressed by the devotion to duty and personal principles. He lived his beliefs.
